You might expect to see a castle when you think of Scotland—but for me, it has looked more like stacking chairs, tangled cords, and unexpected conversations that turn into holy moments.
As an Assistant Teaching Pastor, I help lead and serve in a local Scottish church; teaching, setting up, tearing down, running livestreams, and doing whatever is needed to make room for people to encounter Jesus. Yes, I’m a woman in ministry— and yes, God absolutely calls women to lead, serve, and speak the truth of His Word. I’ve learned that calling doesn’t always look grand it often looks like faithfulness behind the scenes.
Each of the four ministry areas I serve in; Footprints, The Shed, Life Challenge Outreach, and at Portgordon Community Church may seem different on the surface but, they’re really just different expressions of the same calling: to live a life completely surrendered to Christ and to help others see that an abundant life is found only in Him.
